Veterinary Center of East Northport is fortunate enough to have some of the most talented, experienced, and compassionate veterinary staff East Northport has to offer. A Kings Park native and Stony Brook University alum, Brittany joined the Veterinary Center of East Northport in 2012 and quickly climbed the ranks to become Practice Manager in December 2022. With a lifelong love for animals, she not only excels in her role but also shares her home with Fiona, her French Bulldog, who adores tagging along for the ride. She is usually sleeping through most car journeys, but being a pup is RUFF work!
When she’s not ensuring top-notch care for your pets at the center, Brittany enjoys traveling and outdoor activities like skiing and kayaking, often accompanied by her husband. A strong believer in the importance of family and friendships, Brittany brings a warm and balanced approach to her role, making both pets and pet parents feel right at home. Elaine is a lifelong East Northport resident who has always known she wanted to work with animals. She began volunteering at local animal hospitals at just 13 years old and never looked back. Her passion for veterinary medicine led her to the Veterinary Science Technology program at Suffolk Community College, where she earned her degree and became a licensed veterinary technician.
Elaine shares her home with two lovable pups: Storm, an English Bulldog originally owned by her husband, and Stormie, a lab mix who has been by Elaine’s side for years. Though total opposites in personality, the two dogs are inseparable best friends.
Outside of the clinic, Elaine is a dedicated bodybuilder. When she’s not training at the gym, she enjoys spending slow Sunday mornings discovering new coffee shops with her husband, Devin.
Licensed veterinary technician Laura has worked in the animal care field for more than 35 years. A member of the staff since 2004, she is proud to be part of a hospital team that provides care and compassion for pets. Laura’s free time is spent with her husband, son and all her animals. Her animal companions include one cat, named Poe, and two dogs named Kuda and Link. Gardening, cooking and four-wheeling are among her many hobbies.
Originally born in New York and raised in Pennsylvania, Gia began her journey in animal care in 2020 as a kennel assistant. She joined The Veterinary Center of East Northport in 2024 as an assistant and has since earned her license as a veterinary technician through the Veterinary Science Technology program at Suffolk County Community College.
Gia shares her home with two black Lab–Pit mix sisters, Roxie and Bailey, who love squirrel-chasing, couch lounging, and belly rubs.
Outside of school and work, Gia enjoys writing and making music with her boyfriend, Steven, as well as birdwatching and spending quality time with her dogs.
Donna has been working with Veterinary Center of East Northport since August of 2005 and has shown to be a valuable asset to our veterinary team. Donna helps our doctors and technicians as needed, provides compassionate care to patients and clients, and much more! What she enjoys most about her position is having the ability to work with sick patients and enabling better health.
One of Donna’s greatest attributes is her intent to continuously learn and expand her knowledge of the veterinary field. She possesses a keen ability to handle cats with ease and comfort and shows great prowess in building and maintaining lasting relationships & bonds with our clients and their pets.
Relaxing at home with her French Bulldog, Rari, is one of her favorite things to do. Donna also enjoys traveling on cruise ships and traveling the world with her boyfriend. She has been to the Caribbean, Canada, Mexico, the Bahamas, and looks to travel to many more places.
A native of East Northport, Gabriella grew up just five minutes from the Veterinary Center of East Northport. She first joined the team as an intern while earning her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Hofstra University. She always envisioned a career helping people in a healthcare setting, her experience at the practice revealed a true passion for caring for animals and supporting the families who love them. That passion inspired her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
Gabriella shares her home with a lively group of pets, including Noodle, her goofy Doberman; Otto, a food-loving Shepherd mix; Tink, a bossy Miniature Schnauzer; and two cats, Buttons and Stitch. She has always been known as the “Snow White” of her family, with a lifelong love of caring for rescued, stray, and exotic animals—never hesitating to help an animal in need.
Outside of the hospital, Gabriella enjoys training her “trick pony” (her Doberman), paddleboarding to enjoy the beautiful long island waters, hiking with her dogs, and traveling with her girlfriend.
Born and raised in East Northport, Jess now lives in nearby Commack with her husband and their two-year-old son. Her passion for animals started early—she grew up with cats and began riding horses at age nine. She completed her veterinary assistant training at BOCES in high school and went on to study animal care at Becker College.
Jess shares her home with two beloved cats: Buddy, who she rescued during Hurricane Sandy, and Buzz, an energetic adopter from her time working at LIVS. Both cats are full of personality and love spending time playing with her son, snuggling on the couch, and chasing treats.
Outside of work, Jess enjoys relaxing at home, watching a good show, spending time with family and friends, keeping her space tidy, and treating herself to a fresh set of nails.
Mackenzie grew up in North Babylon and is excited to be working in her first animal hospital role. Her passion for animal care began during her teenage years while volunteering and interning at a horseback riding center, where she gained hands-on experience helping with the healthcare of therapy horses.
At home, Mackenzie has a talented rescue bunny named Arlo who knows a few tricks, and Spencer, a 27-year-old African grey parrot with plenty of personality. She also helps care for Pinky, her grandparents’ cheerful parakeet.
In her free time, Mackenzie enjoys making jewelry, altering clothes, and rewatching her favorite movie, Coraline.
Raised in East Northport just minutes from the hospital, Mariana has always had a deep love for animals and a strong desire to build a career dedicated to their care. Looking to gain hands-on experience and expand her knowledge of veterinary medicine, she joined the team as a veterinary assistant, where her passion for helping pets and their families continues to grow every day.
From pet sitting and volunteering to working in a veterinary hospital, each experience has reinforced her commitment to animal care. She hopes to attend veterinary school in the future and continue making a positive difference in the lives of animals.
While she doesn’t currently have any pets of her own, she enjoys spending time with the beloved pets of family and friends, as well as the wonderful patients she meets at work. She looks forward to welcoming a cat, a dog—or perhaps both—into her own family someday. Outside of the hospital, Mariana enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active at the gym or on walks, doing her own nails, and detailing cars.
Robin was welcomed to Veterinary Center of East Northport in June 2008 as one of our full-time Receptionists. assists the center with making appointments, scheduling surgeries, reviewing discharge from surgery and helping to answer any questions pet parents may have. Her favorite part of the job is getting kisses from the puppy patients! She has an unwavering love for all animals and an ability to follow through with any tasks given to her. She loves the knowledgeable and caring staff at the center. At home, she has a dog named Piet who is a Terrier mix. He has a huge following here at the vet center! In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family, gardening and going for walks.
Meet Doreen, one of our friendly and personable Receptionists here at Veterinary Center of East Northport. Doreen joined our reception team in October of 2015 and since has been working hard to schedule appointments & surgical procedures, process medication and prescription food requests, and follow up with our clients about their pets after surgery. Doreen helps with so much more and is wonderful person to engage with. She loves interacting with pet owners and their furry families, and she always aspires to provide exceptional customer service.
Being a client here at Veterinary Center of East Northport I was familiar with many of the doctors and staff members,” Doreen says. “When a position became available, I couldn’t wait to join the practice, and work with a great group of people while making many new furry friends.”
Doreen loves to kayak with her family, including Sasha, their Havanese pooch. She also looks after a Gargoyle Gecko named Taka. Doreen loves going antiquing and spending time with her family, friends and loved ones at their Pennsylvania home. She also likes attending dog shows and competitions in her spare time.
Bridget grew up in Huntington Station, Long Island, and currently lives in East Northport with her husband and two children. She has always loved animals and grew up with mice, birds, fish, hamsters, guinea pigs, snakes, cats and dogs. Bridget currently has a chatty tabby named Kuma who greets everyone who enters her home and has trained family members to turn on the tap for her so she can have fresh water. Her Irish wolfhound, Dudley, had been a patient here, so when she saw the receptionist job posting, she knew this was a place where she’d love to work. She loves all living things, but her heart belongs to wolfhounds, and she hopes to have another one day.
In her free time, Bridget enjoys long walks with her family, bike riding and spending time on her boat.
Sara grew up right here in East Northport and has a long history with The Veterinary Center of East Northport—not just as a team member, but as a former client. She grew up bringing her own pets to the clinic, which sparked her love for the field and inspired her to be part of the team providing care to others in the community.
Sara has loved animals for as long as she can remember and enjoys getting to meet all the pets that come through the doors each day. At home, she shares her life with Rone, her family’s six-year-old fawn French Bulldog.
When she’s not at the hospital, Sara enjoys spending time outdoors and being with her friends and family.
Originally from El Salvador, she moved to Long Island at the age of nine. Her love for animals began on her grandmother’s farm, where she spent much of her childhood caring for them. Those early experiences inspired her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
She has seven years of experience as a veterinary receptionist and more than three years as a veterinary assistant. She is currently enrolled at Penn Foster, working toward earning her veterinary technician license.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her recently adopted dog, Alvin Jr., whose playful and mischievous personality keeps her family smiling. In her free time, she loves reading, visiting Long Island’s beaches, gardening, and volunteering at her church and local animal shelters. Caring for animals is more than a profession; it’s her lifelong passion.
A Long Islander from Brentwood, she joined the veterinary field to gain hands-on experience while pursuing her passion for animal care. She is currently studying biology at Suffolk County Community College and plans to continue her education toward a career in veterinary medicine.
Growing up, she always had pets, including guinea pigs, hedgehogs, birds, dogs, and cats, which inspired her lifelong love of animals. Today, she shares her home with three dogs—Khloe, Miley, and the newest addition Julie—and a cat named Mowgli. Each has a unique personality, from playful Khloe and laid-back Miley to the energetic puppy Julie and affectionate Mowgli.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, jogging, and doing nails. A graduate of cosmetology school, she has been a nail technician for six years. She loves building relationships with both pets and their families while continuing to grow in the veterinary field.
Born in Brooklyn and raised in Garden City, Joyce has spent her entire life on Long Island. She earned a degree in Business and began her career in publishing before following her lifelong passion for animals by transitioning into veterinary medicine.
From an early age, Joyce had a special connection with animals and was often the one bringing home stray kittens in need of care. Growing up, she shared her home with cats, rabbits, chickens, and birds, experiences that helped shape her compassionate approach to animal care. Today, she is the proud owner of two eight-year-old black-and-white cats, Yoda and Jabba, brothers named after Star Wars characters.
Outside of the veterinary field, Joyce enjoys gardening, watching movies, attending Broadway shows, and exploring museums in New York City. She and her husband love to travel and spend time fishing whenever they can. During the summer, they enjoy outdoor concerts and attending car shows with their cherished Ford Model A. She also treasures spending time with her large Italian family.
